Located in Bally Borough, Butter Valley Commons features 56 townhouse units and a community center across eleven building. The site is situated across from a community park and is the final phase of a larger development, in which three for-sale phases had already been completed. Butter Valley Commons is the second general occupancy LIHTC community in this Primary Market Area and the only LIHTC community in eastern Berks County. The development featured geothermal heating and cooling and a dedicated community building consisting of a meeting room, kitchen, computer lab, on-site management office, resident manager, and on-site maintenance area. The proposed financing was straightforward with two sources of funds: tax credit equity and a conventional loan.
