West Court was an acquisition and rehabilitation of an 80-unit community for general occupancy in Wilmington, Delaware. With the original buildings built prior to WWII, the units underwent approximately $60,000 of construction improvements in each of the 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. Construction included replacement of all systems in the buildings and relocation of all residents. Construction of the project took approximately 18 months including an extensive relocation process. Sources of funding included tax credit equity, DSHA Housing Development Fund, City of Wilmington, a conventional loan from DCIC, and the Delaware Department of Public Health.
